01. Overview

This User Data Deletion Policy explains how users can request deletion of their JainTube account and eligible personal data. It applies to jaintube.in and JainTube's Android and iOS applications, where applicable.

You can submit a request even if you cannot access your account. We may need to verify your identity before processing it.

02. How to Request Data Deletion

Follow these steps to request deletion of your JainTube account or data.

Please include your JainTube username, registered email address, and whether you want to delete your entire account or request deletion of specific information. Do not send passwords or payment card details.

03. Data We May Delete

After verifying your request, we may delete or anonymise eligible data associated with your account, including:

• Account profile information, such as your display name and profile details.
• Personal information associated with your account, where deletion is permitted.
• User-uploaded videos, thumbnails, comments, and other content linked to your account, where technically supported and legally permitted.
• Account preferences and certain associated activity records.
• Other personal data that is no longer required for a lawful purpose.

The exact categories deleted depend on the services you used, the information held, and the technical capabilities of JainTube's systems.

04. Data We May Retain

Some information may need to be retained for a limited period where required or permitted by law, including:

• Records required to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations.
• Records needed to investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or disputes.
• Transaction records that must be retained by law or payment providers.
• Information needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
• Limited backup copies until they are overwritten or securely removed through the normal backup cycle.

Where retention is necessary, we will restrict the use of retained data to the relevant purpose and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer required, subject to applicable law.

05. Processing Time

JainTube aims to acknowledge a deletion request within 7 business days and complete the deletion of eligible data within 30 days after successful verification, where reasonably practicable.

Complex requests, identity verification, legal obligations, security reviews, or technical limitations may require additional time. If an extension is necessary, we aim to communicate the reason and any applicable next steps.

These are intended service targets and must reflect JainTube's actual operational process and applicable legal requirements.

06. Android & iOS Applications

Users of JainTube mobile applications may submit a deletion request using the contact method described on this page. If an account deletion option is available in the app's settings, you may also use that option.

• Removing the app from your device does not delete server-side data.
• Deleting an account may affect access to uploaded content, subscriptions, or other account features.
• Data held independently by third-party services may need to be managed through those providers.

07. Identity Verification

To protect users against unauthorised deletion requests, we may ask for reasonable information to verify account ownership. We will not ask you to disclose your password.

If you no longer have access to your registered email address, contact support and explain the issue. We will assess whether another reasonable verification method is available.

08. Important Information

• Deletion requests are subject to applicable Indian law and other legal requirements that apply to the service.
• Content shared publicly or copied by other users may remain outside JainTube's control, even after its original copy is deleted.
• Third-party platforms, app stores, payment processors, and linked services may retain information under their own policies.
• We may refuse or limit a request where legally permitted or where we cannot verify that it is authorised.
• This policy does not promise deletion of information that JainTube does not control.

09. Policy Updates

We may update this policy when our services, data practices, or legal obligations change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date where appropriate.
